For land travel, the city has deployed 78 custom electric shuttles to provide point-to-point transfers from airports and rail stations to scenic areas. By August 24, Zhangjiajie had recorded over 5.1 million tourist visits this year, a 16.88% year-on-year increase, driving consumption past 5.2 billion yuan (about $773 million).
